Walkabout Creek Adventures has been operating since 2016 and is a daughter company of the well-known Riverlife Excursion and Adventure Centre. Located at the beautiful Enoggera Reservoir, just a 20-minute drive from Brisbane, we offer an invaluable school excursion program for Year 5-12 students that is a great alternative to traditional overnight school camps and Riverlife’s urban outdoor day excursion activities.
Our school excursion program is operated by well-trained and highly qualified instructors and activities and itineraries are customisable to fit around your requirements.
Choose between private guided kayak tour and guided bushwalking experiences. Both activities have a nature-based focus and are designed to teach students valuable skills, including teamwork, self-confidence, leadership and resilience.

Our private guided kayak tour is a great way for students to learn about the area, while having fun on the water. We can start your session anytime from 9am until 3pm and require 2 hours, so please let us know when works best for you.

Private Guided Kayak Tour on the Enoggera Dam
Let your students explore Brisbane’s beautiful nature and diverse wildlife with Walkabout Creek Adventures’ private guided kayak tour. Students will learn about aerodynamics and motion and understand that their speed relies on their technique and effort. While kayaking along the Enoggera Dam, your group will be taught exciting facts about the heritage-listed
reservoir and how Enoggera Dam has benefited Brisbane throughout the years. Your students will be able to spot different species of wildlife such as birds, fish and numerous insects and develop a great appreciation for our natural environment that will help them to build a sense of responsibility in preserving our unique nature. We will equip you with life vests, undertake a safety briefing and you will be accompanied by our well-trained and experienced instructors..
Private Guided Bushwalking Tours at the Enoggera Reservoir
Our bushwalking tours are a fantastic way to get your students active and explore Brisbane’s wonderful nature. Your group will learn exciting facts about our unique flora and fauna and what species you can find in the area. The Enoggera Reservoir has a great range of bushwalking trails and our tours will be tailored to the needs of your students.
